Q&A WITH COCO KISLINGER OF ‘COCO BAKES’

August 03, 2015

Tell us about Coco bakes!  What led to the production of your brand? Coco bakes started out of necessity. After coming back from Le Cordon Bleu Paris, I knew I had to change my diet. I felt lethargic and almost always sick. I began by cutting out dairy and even though I LOVE cheese it was pretty easy for me. I still felt unwell so I cut out gluten, and let me tell you, working at Huckleberry and cutting out gluten was not easy. I think I ended up eating a gf carrot muffin every day for months. July 24, 2015

For starters, tell us about Rosedale Fine Jewelry. When did you launch, and what motivated you to produce your own brand? I launched Rosedale in September of 2014 after learning the ropes apprenticing with two very talented craftsmen. I had been tinkering with the idea of starting my own line for a while and had started designing pieces, but my apprenticeship really took me to a level where I felt it was possible. Has jewelry always been a passion of yours?  Growing up, which people influenced Read more […]

LINGERIE: IS IT WORTH IT (DO MEN EVEN NOTICE?) BY ALI SEGEL

July 21, 2015

By Ali Segel Once upon a time I started dating a guy that I liked…a lot. It was my first real adult relationship, and I was ready to do adult type things. Things like match my bra and underwear, and throw away all my undergarments that had period stains on them. I liked the guy THAT MUCH. Because let me tell you: nothing says love like “I will buy new underwear for you.” Which is why I decided to show my affections in the most mature way I knew how-spending an entire freelance Read more […]

Growing up, what were your greatest interests and hobbies?  Have you always had a passion for photography and entertainment news? ON THE ROAD WITH BEAU GARRETT: THULE TRAVELS

June 12, 2015

THULE TRAVELS by Beau Garrett One of the first questions I am asked in any given circumstance is: “Are you single?” Usually that comes after, “What do you do?” But more often than not, it is before any other question regarding who I am. In my twenties I really didn’t give a shit about this question. For the most part I was taken romantically, and in the off chance I wasn’t, I certainly had better things to do than dwell on my lack of a partnership. You hit 31 and it all changes. One Read more […]
